NEIL
DIAMOND
Will
first appeared as Neil Diamond on
Saturday, February 7th,
1998.
They
were doing a bit of a sendup of
VH1's popular program
"Storytellers." The real program
has musicians come on and talk
about the stories behind some of
their most popular
songs.
Neil
came on to talk about his songs
and everything seemed normal at
first...until he started to tell
the stories. In his strange spacy
mumblngs he admitted that he was
a racist, a drug addict, and a
porn lover. He even confessed to
hitting a kid while driving drunk
2 hours before writing "Sweet
Caroline"
When
talking about his song "America"
he admitted to an extreme hatred
of anyone with dark skin. As he
began to sing he slipped by
singing about how he didn't like
his keyboardist (Tim Meadows)
just because he was
black.
By the
end he was complaining of pulling
some stiches on a high note,
confusing lyrics, and heart
problems.
As his
bass player Gary (John Goodman)
helped him from the stage he was
heard shouting, "Aaaggh!! My ass!
My heart!...My heart and ass
hurt!"
