Every
candidate is excited when they
win an election. After all their
hard work, they will finally get
the opportunity to serve the
people who voted for
them.
During
their campaign, many candidates
use negative and slanderous
advertising that directly attacks
their opposition. It works to
varying degrees, depending on the
patience of the voting
public.
Mack
North was very happy to beat Fred
Peete, but he took his joy to
excess as he constructed a
campaign that attacked Peete
after the election was all over.
He ran ads that called Peete a
loser, said his kids were "the
kind of chunky that you just know
they're gonna' grow up fat", and
attacked his reputation and his
position as the head of the local
Red Cross. Later ads got even
more petty and mean-spirited as
they called Fred Peete an idiot
with a big head and his kids
"tubs."
This is
what happens when the school
bully gets elected to office.
Just say no.
